Truck Mechanic


Position Summary:
This position will primarily be responsible for repair and maintenance of Company equipment.


Essential Job Functions

Maintenance of company equipment, trucks and trailers.  Ability to follow set maintenance schedules to assist with mandatory DOT compliance.

Knowledge of basic mechanical process, ability to be certified in brakes, tires and other facets deemed necessary by DOT.

Make more involved repairs involving brakes, exhaust, front end, shocks, struts, electrical, and all engine repairs.

Ability to evaluate damaged equipment and completion of company work orders.

Repair of any damaged item on tractor/trailers and perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, etc.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalent Certificate)

Minimum of one year of related industry work experience

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

Ability to prioritize work

Excellent history of attendance and punctuality
