Position Summary: This position will primarily assist operations by researching options, negotiating pricing, ordering, coordinating, handling the purchasing, receiving, stocking and tracking of the parts inventory for all STS locations.
Essential Job Functions:
This position will primarily assist operations by managing parts & inventory including but not limited to handling the purchasing, receiving, stocking and tracking of the parts inventory & distribution to other STS shops.
Develop relationships with preferred vendors and negotiate prices for items purchased.
Generate purchase orders following purchase guidelines.
Operate TMT computerized maintenance system.
Receive and stock all parts ordered & purchased both physically and in the computer system.
Monitor and expedite returns.
Manage parts warranty programs.
Complete spot inventory counts to monitor accuracy of parts level in the computer system. Set stock inventory levels.
Responsible for reconciling material differences between the monthly physical inventory count and the computer system.
Responsible for monthly physical inventory to be computed and sent to the accounting department within 3 business days after the close of the previous month.
Produce reports from the computer system and research and explain such reports.
Responsible for other duties reasonably assigned by management.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalent Certificate)
At least 5 years of related industry work experience
Must have ability to analyze and prioritize work
Demonstrated ability to adjust to change and be a team player
Knowledge of principles and processes for class 8 tractor/trailers
Skill in communicating effectively as appropriate for the needs of the audience, including written and oral form
